Why not enter in either the Wedderburn Detector Jamboree or the Australian Gold Panning Championship?

Running on March 10-11, the annual Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree is a two day event held at Hard Hill Tourist Reserve in Wedderburn.

The weekend involves two days of detecting the Wedderburn goldfields for tokens and nuggets.
In addition to the detecting competition, there will be lots other entertainment and activities - gold panning competitions, detecting demonstrations, exhibitions, stalls, local attractions, children's activities and more. Entry for the token hunt is $40 for the 2 days which includes breakfast and saturday night entertainment, or $30 just for the sunday which includes breakfast.

On the sunday afternoon, the token draws are held with varioius prizes ranging from caps, maps, coils, and the major prize being a brand new Minelab GPX 5000.

The Victorian Gold Panning Association will be holding the Australian Gold Panning Championships on monday 12th of March at lake Wendouree in Ballarat.
